Srinagar: The senior Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik has suggested Pakistan skipper Babar Azam to leave captaincy in order to fully concentrate on his batting.
“Babar Azam is a great batter but we do injustice by putting his leadership qualities and batting ability on the same scale,” Malik said in an interview.
Malik also cited the example of India’s legend, Sachin Tendulkar, who made a plethora of batting records after leaving captaincy.
“This will help Babar Azam make more records on an international level as the pressure on him will be limited to his batting,” he concluded.
