KSW Exclusive: J&K squad for Vijay Hazare Trophy

Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has finalised the squad for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy (50-over tourney), KSW learnt on Friday.

Shubham Khajuria will most likely continue to captain the team while Fazil Rashid will be his deputy.

Although J&K had a horrible Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy– losing 4 and winning 3 matches against weak teams– most of the squad has been retained.

The only change is batter Abhinav Puri making his way into the team, replacing pacer Umar Nazir, who did not play any matches in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

KSW understands Puri’s inclusion has come on the back of his good performances with the bat in the recently held trial matches at Hostel Ground, Jammu.

J&K will play practice matches at Delhi from November 14 to 19 before leaving for Ahmedabad to play the one-day tournament. They are placed in Elite Group ‘C’ alongside Karnataka, Chandigarh, Bihar, Delhi, Mizoram, Uttrakhand and Haryana.

Here’s the J&K Squad for Vijay Hazare Trophy
