Srinagar: Talented J&K all-rounder Abdul Samad faced huge Twitter troll after failing to lead Sunrisers Hyderabad to a win against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023 match on Tuesday.
Soon after the match ended with J&K all-rounder playing unforgettable inning, Samad started to trend on Twitter with trolls lashing out at the youngster for his failure to lead team to a win.
Used as Impact player in place of T Natarajan, Abdul Samad could manage to score only nine runs from 12 balls as Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered 14 run defeat.
In the last over SRH needed 20 to win with Arjun Tendulkar bowling to Abdul Samad. The first delivery went for naught while as Samad got run out on second delivery.
Soon after the match the trend on the name of Samad started on Twitter. While normal cricket fans as usual were lashing out at Samad, out of nowhere , self proclaimed Film critic and actor Kamal R Khan (KRK) Tweeted, lashing out at Samad.
“If you #SRH can’t score just 24 runs in last 2 overs, then you are not the team, which can win #IPL2023 title. You even can’t reach to playoffs. And you fully deserve it, if you play worst players like #Samad and #washingtonsundar! #MIvSRH,” KRK Tweeted .

“Abdul Samad the finisher is here…SRH needed some 24 runs in the last 2 overs, Samad scored 9 runs off just 12 runs and made sure MI win this match…..what a finish,” Tuk Tuk Academy Tweeted.
“If you ever think useless in life just remember srh retained samad over Baistrow,” Tweeted Yash Jain.
Meanwhile Abdul Samad had scored unbeaten 21 and 32 in the previous two matches for Sunrisers.
Samad’s teammate Umran Malik was dropped for a match against Mumbai Indians after having been leaking runs.
Vivrant Sharma, another J&K cricketer in SRH camp is yet to make his debut.
