KPPL: Bharat CC to lock horns with 777 Masters in title clash tomorrow


JAMMU, Dec 25: Getting the better of Baderkali Cricket Club by 3 wickets in the semifinals at KC Sports Club today, Bharat Cricket Club sealed berth in the finals and will lock horns with 777 Masters in the title clash at MA Stadium tomorrow.
Financial Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo has consented to be the Chief Guest on the closing ceremony which will be graced by a galaxy of dignitaries.
Earlier, in the semifinal, batting first, Baderkali Cricket Club scored a modest total of 117 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Somil Raina (27) and Manoj Bhat (26) were the main contributors.
Vinod was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 5 wickets by conceding 14 runs in his 4 overs, while Nittu claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Bharat Cricket Club chased the target in 16.4 overs by losing 7 wickets, thus won the match by 3 wickets. Vishu top scored with 60 runs off 45 balls, studded with 6 fours and 5 sixes.
For Baderkali Cricket Club, Somil Raina took 3 wickets by giving away 20 runs in his 4 overs.
The tournament is being organised by Lalitaditya Education, Sports and Health Organisation, under the patronage of its President Anil Bhat and Vinay Ji and under the overall supervision of Organisers-Ankur Bagati and Ashish Kachroo.
