After a tweet earlier, Babar Azam has again shown great support towards an out-of-form Virat Kohli, saying he is one of the finest players.
Babar was today asked about the tweet he posted yesterday with a photo of him and Virat Kohli, captioned, “This too shall pass. Stay strong. #ViratKohli“
The Pakistan skipper said, “Kohli is one of the finest players. As a player myself, I know you can go through such a phase [out of form]. If you back players, they can come out of it.”
Kohli has been out of sorts for a long time now. After making as mark as one of the best batters in the current era, Kohli’s form dipped massively, making people question his place in the Indian team right now.
However, several former and current cricketers have come in support of Kohli. Even the current skipper of Indian team, Rohit Sharm, spoke in favour of him at a press conference a couple of days ago.
