Kashmiri Expats in Gulf Cooperation Council will organise “Gulf Cup – 2018” in UAE. The tournament will kick off from 8 Feb and will culminate on February 14, 2018 in which four teams are participating.
Kashmir Premier League – KSA XI team will comprise of top players from the recently concluded KPL in Saudi while as Kashmir Super League – XI, United Challengers and Dowtown Kings will have top KSL players from UAE.
The inaugural match will be played between Kashmir Super League – XI and United Challengers at Ajman Cricket Ground at 9 pm on Thursday.
The Gulf Cup -2018 is first of its cup in which teams from GCC are participating. Earlier, the Kashmiri professionals working in UEA started the Kashmir Super League in Dubai which was followed by Kashmiris in KSA who organised its first edition of Kashmir Premier League last year. The Kashmiris in Qatar did not lag behind to bringing their community together at the cricket filed by organising Kashmir Qatar Cricket League.
With the successful completion of these leagues, the Kashmiri Expats have come up with another novel idea of meeting their fellow brethren working in Gulf through medium of cricket.
The leagues have generated huge response from the Kashmiris spread around globe who watched these matches live on facebook.
