Srinagar: Team India football team has announced its 35 member probables for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers with the likes of Kashmir and Kerala Blasters star footballer Danish Farooq missing out the cut.
India will be back in action after a two-month break following their disappointing 2023 AFC Asian Cup campaign.
India will be facing Afghanistan in the World Cup qualifiers on March 22 before returning home for the reverse fixture in Guwahati on March 26.
India will play its third and fourth match in Round 2 of the joint qualifiers of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2027 AFC Asian Cup in the upcoming international window.

A star Kashmir footballer Danish Farooq who currently plays for Kerala Blasters in Indian Super League has previously represented India. He has previously been part of Real Kashmir FC in I-League before joining Begaluru side in ISL.
This season Danish Farooq has been in brilliant for Kerala Blasters in ISL. His all-round brilliance has been instrumental in Kerala sides impressive show in this seasons ISL.
Danish has stepped up and shouldered key responsibilities of the team during the absence of senior players and has done extremely well for the Blasters. He has scored two goals and has also provided an assist for the Kochi-based side while making a major overall impact on the team.
Keeping current form and display in prespective, Danish deserved a place in India football team for the World Cup qualifiers. He also is a versatile players who can fit in various positions which would have beniffited India.
