Srinagar, November 27: To pay their tributes to the football great who left this World, Kashmir footballers would be playing an exhibition match memory of Diego Maradona at Srinagar TRC Turf Stadium on Saturday at 5PM.
The match has been titled as Tribute To Diego and would be organised by National and International Forum (NIFF) in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.
“National and International Footballers Forum with the support of Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council is organising an Exhibition Match to pay tribute to the legendary Footballer Diego Armando Maradona.The match will be played tomorrow at Synthetic Turf Ground, TRC at 5 PM, ” NIFF statement read.
Argentina icon Diego Maradona has passed away aged 60 after suffering a cardiac arrest on Wednesday and was pronounced dead. Maradona underwent surgery earlier this month to remove a blood clot from his brain.
He was released from the clinic in Buenos Aires two weeks ago.
