A brilliant knock of 85 runs by Asif Rasool helped Bijbehara Sports Club to book place in the semifinal of the J&K Premier League (JKPL) Mattan leg conducted by JKCA.
In the match played at Mattan Bijbehara side defeated Rahmat-e-Aalam CC Anantnag. Toss won by Bijbehara Sports Club and elected to bat first. They scored scored 213/10 in 38 overs. Asif Rasool with 85 was highest scorer while as Ishfaq Ahmad and Liyaqat Mir scored 33 and 32 run’s respectively. For Rahmat-e-Aalam CC, Asgar took 5 wicket haul.
In reply Rahmat-e-Aalam CC made 176/10 in 36 overs. Aadil, Suhail ,Asif and Majid scored 33,34,37 & 30 run’s respectively. Aqib Nazir and Sameer Ganie took 3 & 2 wkts respectively for Bijbehara.
Bijbehara Sports Club won by 38 runs. Asif Rasool for his brilliant batting was awarded man of the match.
