JKCA U19 Cup: Bachan, Arooj, Oman win best batter, bowler and allrounder award

Srinagar, June 01: Bachan Singh, Arooj Parvez and Oman Fayaz were named best batter, bowler and all-rounder at the final ceremony of JKCA U-19 Men’s One-Day Cup.

Bachan scored unbeaten 78 in the first match, 66 in the second, 38 and 23 in the third and final match, respectively.

Arooj, a right-arm pacer, picked a solitary wicket in first match, 2 in the second, 4 in third and 1 in the final.

Oman Fayaz scalped a wicket each in first two matches while returned with a five-wicket-haul in the final. He also contributed cameos of 47, 28 and 18, respectively.

Apart from these three, Rhytham Sharma was named best wicket-keeper and Sahil Imran won the emerging player of the tournament award.

The tournament was conducted across Jammu and Kashmir provinces with 6 teams each participating. In final, JKCA Organe (Jammu Province) beat JKCA Blue (Kashmir Province) to lift the title.

The tournament was a part of JKCA’s selection process for the upcoming domestic season.
