The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) is set to construct a state-of-the-art cricket facility in Jammu, covering an area of 10,319.862 sq meters. This development comes following the BCCI’s decision to establish indoor cricket academies in northeastern states, Patna, and J&K, as approved in a recent informal meeting at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai.
Facility Details
The new facility will feature an all-weather cricket area with four strips (wickets), a standard gymnasium, a cafeteria, changing rooms, a massage room, a waiting lounge, an ice bath facility, equipment rooms, a store room, and toilets.
Additional Developments
The JKCA also plans to renovate and rebuild the existing academy in Srinagar as well but no further information given on when will that take place.
