Jammu: Young opening batter Arya Thakur on Wednesday fired a ton to help Team Blue chase down a marathon total of 337 runs in the third trial match for JKCA senior category at GGM Science College Ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, Team Red posted a huge total of 336 runs in the allotted 50 overs. Opener Abhinav Puri made 99 while skipper Abdul Samad struck fiery 77 off 41 balls.
For Team Blue, Umar Nazir and Sahil Lotra picked 3 wickets each.
In reply, Team Blue chased down the total with 2 wickets in hand, thanks to Arya’s ton and captain Henan Nazir’s 56-run knock.
Abid Mushtaq (3/84) and Ritik Singu (2/54) were the top wicket-takers for Team Red.
