Sheikh Usaid scored an unbeaten half-century for JKCA Orange (Kashmir) while Henan Malik, Kanhaiya Wadhawan hit the fifties for JKCA Blue in the finals of the ongoing JKCA Senior Men’s Multi-Day Cricket Tournament at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Srinagar on Wednesday.

Earlier, resuming from an overnight score of 207/2, JKCA Blue rode on the brilliance of Kanhaiya and Henan to score a big total of 394 runs and gain a big first innings lead of 219 runs. Henan scored magnificent 62 runs, while consistent Kanhaiya contributed superb 54 runs. Abdul Samad also contributed 21 runs. Earlier, Shubham and Suryansh had struck brilliant fifties.

For JKCA Orange, medium pacers Nasir Lone and Shahrukh Dar took 3 wickets each, while part-time leg-spinner Qamran Iqbal claimed 2 wickets.

JKCA Orange were 160/4 in their second essay with Usaid (53) and Nasir (26) at the crease, still trailing by 59 runs.

Though both the openers Qamran Iqbal (25) and Jiyaad Magray (24) gave a solid start to their second innings, after their departure, speedster Ramdayal did the trick, removing experienced Parvez Rasool (08) and skipper Fazail Rashid (03) cheaply.

For JKCA Blue, Ramdayal took 2 important wickets, while left-arm spinner Abid Mushtaq and off-spinner Sahil Lotra claimed one wicket each.
