JKCA Senior Multi-Days: Zaman Qayoom scores unbeaten fifty, Aamir Aziz returns with 4 wickets

Srinagar: Zaman Qayoom scored a hard-fought unbeaten fifty while Aamir Aziz scalped a four-wicket-haul on day-two of the ongoing JKCA Senior Multi-Day match at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, Srinagar.

Responding to 305-run first innings total set by Parvez Rasool’s Team B5, Mohammed Mudhasir-led Team B3 got off to a horrible start.

They lost early wickets as B5 bowlers kept it tight all-along. The fall of wickets never really stopped despite Zaman Qayoom standing tall from one end.

It was left-arm spinner Aamir Aziz who constantly tested B3 batters. He remained the pick of the bowler, returning with figures of 15.2-7-32-4. Apart from him, Younis Manzoor and Suhaib Majeed also picked up two wickets each.

For Team B3, no one part from Zaman could really make an impact. The right-handed batter consumed 156 balls for his 59 runs and returned back without getting dismissed. Taizeem Tak (16), Danish Muzaffar (13) and Zaid Mohammad (11) were the other notable scorers.

They (Team B3) was bowled out on 137 runs in 56.2 overs, handing a healthy first innings of 168 runs led to Team B5.

Earlier, for Team B5, skipper Parvez Rasool scored a stellar unconquered knock of 149 runs while Adil Reshi also struck 62.
