JKCA Multi-Day Trials: Pundir scores 98, Vishal takes fifer in 2nd innings

Shubham Pundir made 98 runs while Vishal Kumar picked up a five-wicket-haul for Team A in the second innings, leading them to an easy victory over Team B in the first match of JKCA Multi-Day trials at GGM Science College Ground, Jammu.

Earlier, Team A made over 340 runs in the first innings with captain Khajuria and Samad scoring in nineties. For Team B, Vivrant scalped 7 seven wickets.

In reply, Team B was bundled out cheaply on around 130 runs. Rasikh Salam with around 35 runs remained the top run-getter. For Team A, Umar Nazir and Sunil Kumar picked up 3 wickets each.

In second innings, Team A batters again sparked. Pundir made 98 while Khajuria, Arya Thakur and Samad also struck fifties.

Team B yet again failed with the bat in the second innings, making around 120 runs with Fazil Rashid making over 40 and Nasir Lone around 30 runs.

For Team A, Vishal Kumar remained pick of the bowlers with five wickets under his belt. Team A hence posted an easy win.

The second trial match is scheduled to be held from August 11 to 13 at GGM Science College Ground, Jammu.
