Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) on Wednesday issued a notice, asking outside state players who are playing various leagues/tournaments in J&K to return to their jurisdiction.
The association has warned players that they will report it to BCCI if the players don’t comply with the notice.
“It has come to the notice of the Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association that players belonging to the other Associations are playing various league tournaments within the jurisdiction of Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association and outside the jurisdiction of their respective Associations. This is in contravention to Rule 30 and 31 of the Rules and Regulations of the BCCI,” the notice read.
“All such players are advised to leave the jurisdiction of Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association and return to their respective Associations failing which the matter will be brought to the notice of the BCCI,” it said.
Rule 30 and 31 in BCCI Rules and Regulations talks about “Permission to conduct tournaments” and “Ban on participation in unapproved tournaments”.
Earlier, JKCA had directed its players not to participate in any event that is not conducted by JKCA/BCCI.
This notice might largely impact the ongoing T20 leagues in Kashmir since a lot of outside state players were part of various teams.
