Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir suffered a 190 run defeat in the U-23 CK Nayudu Trophy match vs Gujarat at Sardar Patel Stadium, Valsad, Gujarat on Tuesday.

Earlier, resuming from 93/3 while chasing a target of 340 runs, J&K bundled out for 149 runs in 54.3 overs.

Shivansh Sharma (35) and Kanhaiya Wadhawan (29) were the main contributors.

SM Prajapati captured 6 wickets for Gujarat, while YD Zala bagged 2 wickets and Shen Patel claimed one.

Earlier, on day-1, Gujarat after batting first, bundled out for paltry 104 runs as Vishal Kumar , Janib Javaid and Basit Bashir bagged 4, 3 and 2 wickets respectively, while in reply J&K got all out for 100, thus conceding a lead of 4 runs to Gujarat as YD Zala took 6 wickets and Jay Malusare bagged 2.

Gujarat in the second inning on the back of Rishi Patel’s 123 scored a total of 335 runs.

For J&K, Vishal Kumar took 5 wickets while Janib Javaid bagged 5 wickets.

J&K will take on Uttar Pradesh in their last group match on February 18, 2024 at Green Park Stadium Kanpur.
