J&K SQAY martial art players create HISTORY, bag 19 MEDALS in 37th National Games 2023

Srinagar: The SQAY martial art players have made J&K proud by bagging biggest ever medal haul for J&K in the National Games history.

On Wednesday, J&K SQAY team bagged 19 medals in the 37th National Games 2023-Goa. The J&K Sqay players came out with 9 Gold Medals, 5 Silver and 5 Bronze Medals. It is best ever performance in any disciline by J&K team in the Natinal Games history.
The sensational performance from J&K SQAY players have given a major push to J&K on National Games Medal Tally. Before incredible performance by J&K SQAY team, the medal tally of J&K was 24 medals that included 5 gold, 8 silver and 11 bronze. Now the Tally has got major jump and stands at 14 Gold, 13 Silver and 16 Bronze. The overall medal tally for J&K is 43. They have jumped to 12th place on overall Medal Table.
It is best ever result for J&K driven mostly by SQAY and Pencak Silat. The Pencak Silat discipline had bagged 12 medals including four gold.
Medals:
Sania Manzoor, Aqsa Showkat, Shagufta Mehraj, Disha Pandith, Faizan Ayoub, Irfan Rangrez, Aman Naqash, Hashim Sheikh and Arsalan Mehraj have bagged gold medals in SQAY martial art for J&K while as Arooj Ahmed, Adnan Farooq, Nasir Zargar, Fatima Adil and Saqiba Altaf bagged silver medals.
Tazina Maqbool, Humaira Lateef, Jamsheda Yousuf, Sheikh Uzair and Raja Younis bagged bronze medals in SQAY.
