
Kashmir’s women cricket star Jasia Akhtar missed tout to make it to playing eleven of first match as Women’s IPL started at Jaipur on May 6.
The Women’s Indian premier League (IPL) titled Women’s T20 Challenge for 2019 started in Jaipur on Monday with Trailblazers taking on Supernovas.
Trailblazers skipper S Mandhana at the toss said that this is a really good initiative by the BCCI and it will help us prepare for the next World Cup. Bharati Fulmali and Jasia Akhtar miss out on the opening game”.
The Women’s T20 is this year made up of three teams playing four matches in Jaipur as standalone games during the 2019 IPL Playoff week.
The comprise of current and future stars of Indian cricket playing alongside a selection of the world’s best players. The combined strength of talent on display will showcase the quality of women’s cricket.
Jasia is top cricketer who was twice was selected for India camp. She was recently also awarded State award by J&K Government.
