“It will not be easy for Pakistan to beat India in World Cup this time”: Shoaib Akhtar

Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar on Saturday said that it would not be easy for Pakistan to beat India in the upcoming T20 World Cup, which will be played in Australia later this year.

In 2021 T20 World Cup at Dubai, Pakistan defeated their arch-rivals quite easily. However, Akhtar believes India will come up with proper planning this time around.

“India will come up with proper planning this time around. It will not be easy for Pakistan to beat India in T20 WC this time,” the former Test cricketer said as quoted by GeoSuper.

“Predicting match results now is quite difficult but Pakistan should bowl second as pitch in Melbourne offers bounce to fast bowlers,” he added.

Akhtar also said that over 150k fans would turn up to watch the game as the arch-rivals would lock horns on October 23.

“I believe the crowd will be bigger this time. Around 150,000 fans will watch the match line in Melbourne. Out of which, 70,000 will be Indian supporters,” Akhtar, who holds the record for fastest delivery in world cricket, said.

Whenever India and Pakistan face each other on the cricket field, the fans across globe tune in to witness them play. It is expected that this T20 World Cup clash would yet again bring the excitement among spectators.
