Mumbai: The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 trade window has triggered a wave of high-profile player transfers ahead of the official retention deadline, with multiple franchises finalizing major deals involving senior international performers and rising stars.

In one of the most talked-about trades, former CSK captain and veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has completed a move to Rajasthan Royals (RR). Jadeja exits Chennai after 12 seasons, and his revised contract will now see him earn INR 14 crore, down from his previous INR 18 crore.

Meanwhile, RR captain and India wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson will swap places with Jadeja as he joins Chennai Super Kings (CSK), retaining his existing fee of INR 18 crore. Samson, who has represented RR for the majority of his IPL career, will now feature for his third franchise.

England all-rounder Sam Curran is another significant outbound name for CSK, joining Rajasthan Royals at his existing fee of INR 2.4 crore. Curran, 27, will now play for his third IPL side.

Veteran pacer Mohammed Shami has finalized his transfer to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Signed by SRH for INR 10 crore ahead of IPL 2025, Shami brings tremendous experience, including a Purple Cap win (2023) with 28 wickets, despite missing the 2024 season due to injury.

In other confirmed trades, leg-spinner Mayank Markande is set for a comeback to Mumbai Indians (MI) after moving from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), while bowling all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar will now represent Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) following a transfer from MI.

Left-handed top-order batter Nitish Rana has completed his move to Delhi Capitals (DC) at his existing INR 4.2 crore contract, while South African all-rounder Donovan Ferreira returns to Rajasthan Royals, with his new fee now revised to INR 1 crore.
