Srinagar: Pakistan pacer Hassan Ali has injured his finger during Lanka Premier League and had to go surgery.
Representing Dambulla Aura in the tournament, Hassan Ali suffered injury during playoff match against the Galle Titans, putting an end to his participation in the tournament.
Ali took to the social media platform X (Twitter) , to share the distressing news with his fans.
“Saddened to share that I suffered a finger injury during our qualifier yesterday and had to go through a surgery for it. A pretty unfortunate end to a great tournament for me personally however will like to look at the positives and thank my team management and medical staff for looking after me. Big thank you to all the fans for supporting me and would now request you all to pray for my recovery,” he tweeted.
In the first match of the playoff round, Dambulla Aura emerged victorious by defeating the Galle Titans, securing their spot in the final of the tournament.
Opting to bat first, Galle Titans were dismissed as they scored 146 runs in the first innings.
Hassan Ali bowled exceptionally well, completing a three-over spell in which he conceded 28 runs and successfully dismissed Tabraiz Shamsi (0).
When it was Dambulla Aura’s turn to chase the target, they did so with ease, losing only four wickets and with two balls remaining.
