India’s U19 World Cup winning players added to IPL Auction 2022

Srinagar, Febuary 12: In a major decision that may turn out as major reward for youngsters, BCCI on Friday, added India’s Under-19 World Cup winning players to the IPL Auction 2022.

As per report the information was relayed to all franchise representatives on Friday night. With this development, the total number of players in the auction register is now 600.

“Yes, it is true that we have added the Under 19 players to the register.” report IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel .

Although BCCI hasn’t announced the names yet some of the probables include captain Yash Dhull, vice-captain Shaik Rasheed, wicketkeeper Dinesh Bana, Ravi Kumar, Nishant Sindhu, Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Manav Parakh, Garv Sangwan, Siddharth Yadav, Aaradhya Yadav should ideally be eligible

The reason why a lot of World Cup-winning India U19 players were ineligible earlier was down to the rules and regulations, which mandate that only those U19 players who have played at least one first-class match or List A game can enroll in the auction. And if they don’t have any experience in the domestic circuit, then they should have turned 19 before the auction takes place.

Obviously, the qualification status of these players has not changed since February 5, when they won the U-19 World Cup in Antigua, but BCCI seems to have made a special provision for their inclusion into the auction list.
