Srinagar: While Pakistan skipper Babar Azam is facing huge criticism backhome after Pakistan’s disasterous World Cup 2023 campaign, he has found support from legendary Kapil Dev.
Kapil Dev has asked everyone not to judge peformance on the basis of one event and look into overall performnance at lomg term.
“People are slamming Babar Azam because of the current performance of the team. But remember he is the same player who led Pakistan to number one slot six months ago,” Kapil Dev said on TRS Clips.
“Fans have a habit of taking the recent performances into account. I don’t believe in that. If a player hits a century in his first game, he is labelled as a superstar,” he added.
Azam scored just 320 runs in 9 innings, with four half-centuries and Pakistan failed to reach semifinals.
