Srinagar, December 9: Star striker Danish Farooq and ever dependable Mason Robertson were on target as Real Kashmir FC cruised thier way into the quaterfinal of the 123rd IFA Shield football tournament on Wednesday, December 9.

Playing it’s second match of the tournament in Group -B against Ayran Footbal Team, Real Kashmir FC came out as winner by 3-0 margin. It was second win out two matches played in the group for the Real Kashmir FC. With this win Real Kashmir FC emerged out as Group-B winners and booked it’s place in quaterfinal. In quaterfinal scheduled to be played on December 14, Real Kashmir FC is going to play against Runner-up side of Group-C.
Earlier in the match played at Kalyani Ground, it was tough first half for Real Kashmir FC who were unable to score any goal. At the end of first half score was 0-0.
In the second half, Real Kashmir FC gave it thier everything and dominated totally. Mason Robertson scored first goal for the team in 72nd minute. Danish Farooq who had scored goal in first match as well, went on to double lead for his club, scoring second goal in 82nd minute.
In the dying moments of the game Lukman made it 3-0 for Real Kashmir FC. Chestorpoul was awarded man of the match.
Earlier on December 7, in its first match of the campaign, Real Kashmir FC had defeated Peerless Sports Club by 2-1 goals.
