Srinagar, December 7: Star striker of Real Kashmir FC Danish Farooq has dedicated Real Kashmir FC’s opening win in 123rd IFA Shield football tournament to Kashmir fans who have been supportive of the team throughout.

Real Kashmir FC started it’s campaign in IFA Shield on winning note on Sunday. In the match they defeated Peerless SC by 2-1 goals with Danish bagging man of the match award.

Before the start of I-League next month, Real Kashmir FC is participating in historic IFA Shield tournament in Kolkatta. It is first time ever that any Kashmir football team is participating in IFA Shield.

Real Kashmir FC is scheduled to play it’s second match on December 9 against Aryan Club at Kalyani Ground.
Speaking after the match, player of the match Danish Farooq dedicated win to his family, club and fans. 
“It was our first win and we wanted to make a winning start. We did tha and kick started our campaign on winning note. I want to dedicate this to my family and club chairmain who kept supporting me. I also want to dedicate the win to our fans back home who keenly follow all our games, ” Danish said.
