Srinagar: Pakistan out of favour hard hitting batter, Asif Ali has hit out at critics , saying he doesnt run on petrol to hit 300 sixes everyday.
“I don’t run on petrol to hit 300 sixes daily,” Asif said while talking to the media on the sidelines of Peshawar Zalmi practice session.
“I used to practice hitting sixes during the camp in the NCA, but there was a mistake in my statement and also who wrote,” he added.
Earlier, Asif reportedly had said that he hits more than 100 sixes in a day, in the nets.
Asif has been out of the Pakistan team for more than one year. He has worked on his shortcomings while being away from the side.
“Cricket is the name of pressure, this thing has to be handled well. I have experience of playing with different teams abroad. I have worked on what I lacked, I will try to show them in PSL,” he added.
“I have not lost hope, if I am lucky, I will make a comeback. The first step is to perform well in PSL,” he maintained.
Meanwhile, Asif Ali praised Babar Azam, who is the captain of Zalmi.
“Babar is captaining the same way he led Pakistan. He tries to guide all the players on the field,” he added.
