Srinagar, June 23: Shayak Ahmad Wednesday scored a quick fifty in Team Sultan’s win against Darbagh Cricket Club in the ongoing Harwan Cricket League (HCL), here.
The batter made 39-ball 55 runs to help his team set a good total and later bowlers did the rest of the job.
Team Sultan scored 147 runs batting first. Apart from Shayak, Arif Nazir fired 17-ball 27 runs. For bowling side, Zahid and Muneer picked 2 wickets each.
In reply, thanks to Zubair Ahmed’s splendid spell, Darbagh batsmen couldn’t chase down the total. They finished up with 134/10 in 19.2 overs, handing a 13-run win to Sultan.
Zubair scalped 3 wickets, giving away only 19 runs in his 3.2 overs. For Darbagh, Tahsin Dar was the highest run-getter with 28-ball 35 runs.
Shayak, for his unbeaten fifty, was adjusted man of the match.
