
Srinagar, Oct 5: Continuing its dominance of local Football arena, Real Kashmir FC Reserves on Sunday lifted the 5th GMW invitation knockout Football tournament trophy, defeating Kashmir Tiger FC in the final played at Chanderhama by 3-2 goals.

To watch the most favourite and followed Football side of Kashmir playing, thousands of fans turned upto watch at the venue. The teams didn’t disappoint fans with quality of play being high and both pressing for the goals.

Danish Farooq opened the account for Real Kashmir FC in 10th minute, but they couldn’t hold the lead till long as in 20th minute Kashmir Tigers team scored an equalizer through Jamsheed. After that no team could score and the first half ended 1-1.
At the start of second half, in 45th minute of the play Danish Farooq once again gave lead to Real Kashmir FC by scoring two goals back to back and take lead by 3-1 goals. In the 60th minute a penalty kick was awarded in favour of Kashmir Tigers. Ashiq Mushtaq without any mistake converted that into a goal and giving hope to his team.
In the last minutes of the match, Kashmir Tigers players tried their best to score an equaliser but failed. Match ended with Real Kashmir FC emerging winner by 3-2 and lifting trophy.
The function of the final match was presided over by President DFA Srinagar, Fayaz Ahmad Sofi, Senior Vice President, Peer Sirajudin , Ex- International footballer Ab. Majeed Kakroo, JKFA Executive Memeber, B.A Basharat, Memeber JKFA, Zahoor Ahmad Teli & Naseemul Gani & Asst. General Secretary, Bilal Panjabi and other Memebrs of JKFA & Saheen Association were present at the function and witnessed the match. They also distributed trophies, medals and various awards to the players and officials of the participating teams.
