Gladiators to take on predecessor tonight as PSL moves to Sharjah

Sarfraz Ahmed-led Quetta Gladiators will take on Misbah ul Haq’s Islamabad United tonight (Wednesday) in the ninth match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at the historic venue of Sharjah.psl

On cards, both sides sit with two points each out of their two matches. Both teams won their last games – Quetta Gladiators beat Lahore Qalandars whereas, Islamabad United took down the Multan Sultans.

For Gladiators, opening batsman Shane Watson is a major positive, as he remains in a red-hot form, the all rounder smashed 66 runs of 42 deliveries, while picking up one wicket in his last match. Meanwhile, pacer Jofra Archer and spinner Muhammad Nawaz will provide a solid bowling unit for the Gladiators.

On the other hand the Islamabad United have one of the most impressive bowling side in the tournament with Muhammad Sami and Rumman Raees forming the major crux alongside England’s fast bowler Steven Finn and Faheem Ashraf.

Whereas, leggie Shadab Khan performs the spin duty for his side, in addition to batting and top fielding. However, batting remains a concern for Islamabad, it remains to be seen, whether Misbah ul Haq will join his side or not.
