Girls cricket tourney begins, Srinagar beat Anantnag in U-17 final

Srinagar beat Anantnag in U-17 final .Pic KSW

The girls Under-17 and 19 Provincial Inter-District cricket tournament started in Anantnag district on July 20.

The tournament is organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports and was inaugurated by District Youth Services and Sports Officer Anantnag Noor ul Haq Andrabi. In the event 6 teams from 6 districts are participating in each category.

In the Under-17 category final played at Women’s College Anantnag venue, District Srinagar defeated District Anantnag in a thrilling finish.

In the Under-19 category semifinals played at HSS Bijbehara, Kulgam defeated Srinagar by eight wickets in first match while as in second Anantnag defeated Ganderbal. The final would be played on july 22 at same venue between Anantnag and Kulgam.
