Fakhar Zaman’s gesture to help ground staff to put covers during rain wins internet 

Srinagar: A small act of kindness , from Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman for the ground staff of Colombo has won the cricketer millions of fans during ongoing India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 match.

The play was interrupted due to rain and at the time the play was stopped, India were batting at 147-2 in 24.1 overs.

However, as soon as the rain started, it was not only the ground staff running to put covers on the wicket and outfield but they were accompanied by Pakistan’s Fakhar Zaman.

Zaman was seen running with covers in his hands and was doing his best to cover the ground so the wicket and the outfield would not get much affected by rain.

Zaman’s gesture was appreciated by fans on social media and here is how fans on X (Twitter).

Earlier today, India got off to a flying start courtesy of Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma’s aggressive century stand.

Sharma was removed by Shadab Khan for 56 off 49 while Gill became the victim of Shaheen Afridi after scoring 58 off 52, his knock included ten fours.

Virat Kohli 8* and KL Rahul 17* will resume the innings for the Blues once rain stops.
