Fakhar Zaman scores ton as Pakistan beat Northamptonshire

Pakistan recorded their second win in England as they beat Northamptonshire by eight wickets on Monday.

The Green Shirts chased down 274 with eight wickets and nine overs to spare, thanks to a brilliant century by Fakhar Zaman and fifties from Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam.

Zaman scored 101 off 81 balls with 15 fours and a six, while Imam contributed with 71 off 79 balls with five fours and two sixes. Azam hit an unbeaten 68 from 53 balls with five fours and three sixes.

Pakistan kicked off their tour of England with a 100-run win over Kent on Saturday. Imad Wasim hit an unbeaten ton while Zaman made 76 and Haris Sohail 75. Pakistan continue their tour with another tour match against Leicestershire on Wednesday.

They then play England in a one-off T20 international in Cardiff on Sunday, before facing the hosts of the 50-over World Cup — which starts next month— in the first of five one-day internationals at The Oval on May 8.
