Srinagar: Pakistan’s new pace sensation Zaman Khan has continued his exploits in the ongoing T20 Blast league in England and on Monday delivered another spell of furious Yorkers.
He has been delivering toe-crushing Yorkers regularly in the league with his slinging action similar to Sri Lanka legend Lasith Malinga.
On Monday, Zaman Khan produced a toe-crushing yorker to scatter Jack Haynes’ stumps in a match between Worcestershire and Derbyshire.
Zaman, fired in a full ball in the 13th over of Worcestershire’s innings to Haynes. The opener could do little, as the ball whistled past his toe, finding the gap between the boot and the bat to take out the off and middle stump.
Haynes, who had batted to a 31-ball 44 till that delivery, was left astounded by the bolt from the blue.
Zaman took off in celebration, while the batter stood rooted to the crease for a few seconds before trudging off.
Worcestershire were still able to post 222-5. Amid the carnage, Zaman finished with the most economical figures from his side, ending with 4-0-29-2.
Derbyshire put up a fight, but could not quite garner a suitable response, falling short by 28 runs.
