Top cricketer and only international cricketer of the State Parvez Rasool, who has been selected for India Reds in Duleep Trophy, on Wednesday said that it is perfect opportunity to get into rhythm before start of the season.
Parvez Rasool was named in India Red squad for the upcoming Duleep Trophy that starts on from August 17. It is another reminder from the BCCI selectors that start cricketer from Kashmir, is in their eyes as only top players from all over the country are selected for this prestigious tournament.
Parvez is part of 14 men India Red squad which will be lead by Abinav Mukund. Parvez has been selected for the team on the basis of his 2017-18 domestic season performance in which he took 28 wickets for J&K Ranji team and also five wickets in Duleep Trophy. The matches would be day-night. There are three teams, India Red, India Blue and India Green. The matches are scheduled to be played at NPR College Ground Dindigul. “It is perfect opportunity for me to get quality match practice before the start of the important domestic season,Parvez saif, “ Last year I played one match and bagged five wickets. I always try to get best out of the opportunity that comes my way. This time would be no different and it will also help me in upcoming domestic season for J&K Ranji team. I will be joining rest of the team on August 14 while as match is on August 17,” he added.
