Srinagar, April 14: While they are rivals both politically and on the field, there is rarely a moment when India and Pakistan cricketers play together for the same side. That has happened today as India batting stalwart Cheteshwar Pujara and Pakistan star wicket keeping batsman Mohammad Rizwan made their debuts for Sussex in County Cricket on Thursday.

A photograph of the duo standing next to each other in Sussex kits is doing the rounds on social media and fans of both the Countries can’t keep calm to see the two stars in action together.

While Pujara is one of the finest Test batters of this generation, Rizwan has made a name for himself in white-ball cricket for Pakistan and was adjudged the ICC T20I Player of 2021.

Fans of both the cricketers terming it a rare occasion and some have termed it Divided and United by British, pointing towards the role of British in the Indian-Pakistan 1947 partition.
