Srinagar: The elections of the District Football Association (DFA) Srinagar elections were held in Srinagar on Tuesday.
Former JKFA General Secretary Bashir Ahmad Malik was elected as DFA Srinagar President defeating Former Secretary DFA Srinagar Tariq Ahmed Madni by six votes.
Showkat Ahmed Masoodi wad elected as secretary DFA Srinagar while as Zahoor Ahmed Teli as Treasurer.
Meanwhile National and International Football Forum (NIFF) has congratulated all elected office bearers of DFA Srinagar.
“A well fought election was witnessed after a long time. A big success to Chairman NIFF, Bashir A Malik for winning the President post and also Showkat Masoodi and Z A teli for becoming DFA Secretary & Treasurer respectively,” NIFF statement said.
