Did Mohammad Amir take another dig at Babar Azam?: Terms Virat Kohli real king

Srinagar: Former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir latest act has caught the attention of one and all after the pacer praised Virat Kohli for scoring 6th IPL century on Thursday.

Virat Kohli scored a masterful century as Royal Challengers Bangalore thumped Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets.

The win leaves Bangalore in control of their own destiny in the race to the playoffs, moving up into the fourth and last qualifying spot.

Soon after the Kohli scored century, Mohammad Amir tweeted terming Kohli real king of this era.

Amir also shared link of his youtube video in which he spoke about Virat Kohli. However , fans in Pakistan have termed Amir’s use word ‘king’ as indirect dig ag Babar Azam who is popularly called by his fans as King.

“I think Klaasen played a really good innings, it was one of the best of his career. I think a lot of credit should be given to his innings. But if we talk about RCB, their opening pair of Faf and Virat. It is unbelievable, Faf is going along as the highest run-scorer in the IPL and I think he will break the record of 800 runs,” said Amir on his YouTube channel.

“Virat is my favorite player of this era, I say this everytime. There is no comparison with Virat and any other player. I think his achievements are unbelievable and the way he scored the hundred. I think it was special because it was a must-win game and the shots he played. It was a lot of class on display and he showed it. That is the sign of a great player, when situations like these come he stands up”.

“I think in total he has scored six hundreds in IPL and this is his first hundred in IPL in the last four years. Altogether, he has 81 hundreds which is why I call him the real king of this era, and if he plays five more years, I don’t know how many records will he break”.

“It was a must-win game for RCB, their chances of playing the semi-final have opened and I hope they play the semi-final and final and win the trophy,” he concluded.

All the IPL teams have now played 13 games each, with the last round of league matches kicking off Friday.
