Abu Dhabi, November 5: The Delhi Bulls have bolstered their squad for the upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 League 2025 by signing two Pakistan stars — Iftikhar Ahmed and Ubaid Shah — ahead of the tournament’s ninth edition, set to take place from November 18 to 30 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.
The franchise confirmed the signings via its official social media handles, adding more depth to its lineup for the fast-paced 10-over competition.
Ubaid Shah to Make His International Franchise Debut
Promising young pacer Ubaid Shah, who impressed during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 with Multan Sultans, is set to make his international franchise debut in the T10 format.
The younger brother of Pakistan pacer Naseem Shah, Ubaid claimed 12 wickets in 11 matches during PSL 2025, showcasing his ability to deliver under pressure with the new ball and at the death.
Iftikhar Ahmed Brings Experience and Firepower
The Bulls’ other major signing, Iftikhar Ahmed, is among Pakistan’s most reliable limited-overs all-rounders. The 34-year-old has played 66 T20Is for Pakistan, scoring 998 runs at a strike rate of 129.10, along with four fifties.
Beyond international cricket, Iftikhar has built a rich résumé in franchise leagues around the world — including stints in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), and Lanka Premier League (LPL). His experience and power-hitting ability are expected to provide balance and depth to the Bulls’ middle order.
Delhi Bulls Strengthen Squad with More Pakistani Talent
The latest additions come after the Delhi Bulls had already picked Salman Irshad and Mir Hamza during the player draft on October 19.
Salman Irshad, known for his pace and swing, will look to make an impact in the powerplay overs.
Mir Hamza, a consistent left-arm pacer, brings with him 33 wickets in 29 PSL matches across six seasons for Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi.
Elsewhere in the draft, Deccan Gladiators snapped up Ali Raza and mystery spinner Usman Tariq.
Ali Raza, who featured for Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 10, claimed 12 wickets in nine matches.
Usman Tariq, coming off a stellar CPL 2025 season with Trinbago Knight Riders, was the tournament’s second-highest wicket-taker with 20 wickets in 10 games.
Meanwhile, left-arm seamer Akif Javed is gearing up for his second overseas league appearance after featuring in the BPL for Fortune Barishal and Rangpur Riders.
Adding further Pakistani representation, Zaman Khan will line up for the Ajman Titans alongside Asif Ali and Akif Javed. Zaman has previously showcased his talent in the Major League Cricket (MLC), Big Bash League (BBL), LPL, and The Hundred.
