Srinagar: Playing his last Test series of the career, Australia opener David Warner showed his incredible form in the first Test vs Pakistan in Perth as he smashed some brilliant strokes including one vs Shaheen Afridi.
Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bat first at Perth stadium. Openers Warner and Khawaja took Australia off to a brilliant start, taking the opening partnership beyond the 100-run mark at lunch on Day 1.
With Warner in great touch, he scooped Shaheen for a six to the second tier of the stand in the fine leg region.
Shaheen bowled a fuller delivery targetted at middle stump. Warner goes on back foot and then tries to scoop it from middle stump line. He takes eye off the ball but still manages to make the connect, falling down on the ground in the process.
Everyone from bowler to commentators were in awe of the shot. Shaheen was also angry and walked upto Warner.
