David Robertson is not leaving Real Kashmir

Real Kashmir FC Coach David Robertson

Srinagar: The Scottish football coach of Kashmir based I-League football club Real Kashmir FC, David Robertson has said that he is not leaving the club and will be part of it next season as well.

The local daily Kashmir Monitor quoted David Robertson on Friday saying that he will stay with the team for the upcoming I-League season.

The report came after there were reports that Robertson is joining Kolkata giants Mohun Bgagan for next season. Former and Rangers star who had joined the Club in 2016, is all set to form his squad for the I-League 2019, which will begin at the end of the year.

“I have not spoken to any other club and I have been hearing these rumours too. I do receive calls from different numbers, which I don’t recognise. As far as I am aware, I am still the coach of Real Kashmir,” Robertson was quoted by The Kashmir Monitor.

“I have been with Real Kashmir since the club was almost formed and have been a part of its incredible journey,” he further said.

Real Kashmir FC is the first football team of the J&K to qualify for I-league in May 2018.  In its debut season, Real Kashmir competed with top clubs of India and finished at an impressive third spot with 37 points in 20 matches.
