Srinagar: Continuing his match winning performance, the football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo on Sunday guided Al-Nassr to the semi-final of the Arab Club Champions Cup.
In the match Al-Nassr defeated Raja CA 3-1 in the quarter-final in Abha, Saudia Arabia.
Ronaldo showed once again, why he is the greatest goal-scorer football has ever seen by scoring in the 19th minute in a must-win match for his side.
The 38-year-old scored with his left foot — taking his club goal tally to 718 — and gave his side a dream start.
Al-Nassr did not stop and continued their fierce attacks. Sultan Al-Ghannaam doubled the Saudi’s side lead in the 29th minute.
Their third goal came in the 38th minute. Former Newcastle midfielder Seko Fofana scored and sealed the deal for his side.
However, Al-Nassr’s defender Abdullah Madu scored an own goal in the 41st minute turning his team’s three-goal lead into two.
However, that had no effect on Ronaldo’s side as they comfortably ended the game with a 3-1 victory and secured their place in the semi-final of the event.
They will take on Al-Shorta in the semi-final at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium on August 9.
