Contrary to common news that WWE superstar Roman Reigns made his decision to not go ahead with his upcoming blockbuster against Goldberg at Wrestlemania 36 due to his health is not entirely that simple.
The noted professional wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer has come up with actaul reason that prompted the tough decision. Though in the end Roman did backed off due to health reasons but that was not only due to his own condition. He revealed that The Miz showing up at work sick prompted the decision.
WWE has replaced Roman Reigns with Braun Strowman but it’s not because Reigns. Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that Reigns was at the PC for the WrestleMania tapings.
Meltzer said that The Usos were upset when they found out that The Miz was sick. The word got back to Reigns and that is when he made the decision to pull out of the tapings.
“Roman Reigns made the call himself. It was interesting because he was there and made the call,” Meltzer said. “It had to do in some form with Miz being sick and The Usos not being happy about it. I don’t really know much else, that’s really all I was told. It’s a weird story because if you followed it, basic logic is that he should have stayed home. Everyone’s got a risk but his risk was high, his reward was high too but his risk was real high. For a guy who already has enough money to live the rest of his life and take care of his kids…it was his decision but that decision shouldn’t have been put on him. I don’t know who made the call but it was an obvious call that wasn’t made so I don’t know where in the WWE medical system it fell through but it fell through.”
Reigns’ immune system is compromised because of his leukemia battle, which explains why The Usos were upset with The Miz. Due to The Miz’s illness, he was pulled from the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match and the match will be changed to John Morrison vs. Jimmy or Jey Uso.
