Competition in Pakistan fast bowling camp is increasing: Haris Rauf

Srinagar: Pakistan star pacer Haris Rauf hs said that the competition in the Pakistan pace bowling department is increasing which is good thing for the Pakistan cricket.

In an interview with a local Pakistan media news channel, Haris said that despite being rested for the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, he is eager to make a strong comeback and contribute to the team’s success.

“I got rest after a long time so it will help me when I get back on the field. I’m physically fresh now and energy level is better than before,” he said.

“We are not thinking about the fact that the New Zealand team doesn’t have renowned players. They still have players with international experience in their squad,” said Haris.

The 29-year-old is also pleased with the depth Pakistan has in the fast bowling department, with new additions such as Ihsanullah providing more options.

“The competition is increasing for fast bowlers and it’s good that we have backup in this department. Ihsanullah is also a good addition in our squad,” he said.

“The cricketing world speaks very highly of Pakistan’s bowlers,” he concluded.
