CK Nayudu U23 Tourney: Karnataka Thrash J&K by 129 runs

Srinagar: J&K suffered a crushing 129 run defeat against Karnataka in the match of the Under-23 Col. C.K.Nayudu Trophy tournament at Alur Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Despite valiant effort by Qazi Junaid Masood in the fourth who scored 73, J&K fell short of a target by 129 runs to hand Karnataka a big win.

Batting first Karnataka scored, 426 for the loss of all wickets in its first inning. Aneesh with 129 and Macneil with 104 were highest scorers for them while as Basit Bashir took five wicket haul for J&K. Mujtaba Yousuf ans Archit Mahajan took two each.


In reply in its first inning J&K scored 297 runs for the loss of all wickets. Yawer Hussain with 67, Shivansh with 65, Kanhaiya Wadhwan with 59 and Qazi Junaid with 42 were highest scorers for them.


In its second inning Karnataka declared on 238/8. Aneesh KV scored 101 runs while as Prakar scored 73 for them. For J&K , Mujtaba Yousuf took four wickets.
In its second inning while chasing target, J&K got all out for 238 run total, falling short of a target by 129.
Qazi Junaid Masood scored 73 run knock while as Arya Thakur scored 41, Kawal Preet 39 and Yawer Hussain 37.
