CK Nayudu Trophy, J&K vs MP: Hosts in sight of victory as Kushwah, Solanki slam tons

Srinagar, Jan 10: Sumit Kushwah and Sagar Solanki scored magnificent centuries to guide Madhya Pradesh to a big total of 394/3 declared, thus setting a victory target of 364 runs for Jammu and Kashmir as J&K bowlers produced a dismal show on penultimate day today to lose the initiative of first innings lead in the ongoing U-25 CK Nayudu Trophy at MPCA Ground-1, Nimkheda, today.

In reply, J&K were 22/0 in 6 overs in their second innings at the draw of stumps today.

Arya Thakur (20) and Jiyaad Nazir Magrey (2) were at the crease.

Earlier, resuming from an overnight score of 47/2, Madhya Pradesh rode on splendid centuries by Sumit Kushwah and Sagar Solanki and superb 87 runs by first innings centurion   Rishabh Chouhan to reach 394/3 before declaring their innings. Kushwah scored 176 runs off 300 balls, studded with 16 boundaries, while Solanki scored 101 runs off 116 balls including 11 fours and one six. Rishabh Chouhan contributed valuable 87 runs off 158 balls with the help of 11 boundaries. 

For J&K, Lone Nasir Muzaffar who took a 6-wicket haul in the first innings bagged 2 wickets, while Mujtaba Yousuf claimed one wicket.
