
Srinagar, December 10: In its first step post Covid-19, Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) Wednesday issued a notice to its district units, asking them to shortlist 8 players for participation in the trials of senior T20 tournament.
As Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (T20) is most probably to take place from January, JKCA is planning to hold a trial camp for these shortlisted players, either at Srinagar or Jammu.
The notification, accessed by KSW, dated December 09, issued by JKCA CEO, has directed district associations to shortlist not more than 8 players for the trial camp within three days and sent the list to them via email.
Earlier, BCCI had asked state units to choose from four options for the conducting of 2020-21 domestic season, weherein most of the associations opted to play white-ball cricket with Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy a top priority.
The schedule of the tournament is though yet to be finalised, KSW understands the tournament could most likely take place from last week or December or first week of January.
