Srinagar: In rain curtailed first day of the Boxing Day Test match between Australia and Pakistan at Melbourne Cricket Ground, there were some exciting moments to cherish with one being heated battle between Shaheen Afridi and Marnus Labuschagne.
Shaheen Afridi who went wicketless throughout the day, bowled brilliantly and if not for the dropped chance he would have got wicket of David Warner at the start of the match.
Despite that, Shaheen continued to trouble batters with his battle with Marnus Labuschagne turning out as feasty one.
Australian batter faced a challenging spell from Pakistan’s pace spearhead. Shaheen exhibited some aggression, attempting to unsettle Labuschagne, who displayed remarkable composure at the start of his innings.

Australia finished the opening day of the second Test against Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Tuesday at 187-3 by stumps.
The Boxing Day Test encountered rain, resulting in only 66 overs being bowled throughout the day.
When play resumes on the second day, Labuschagne (44) and Travis Head (9) will continue batting for the home team.
