Srinagar: The surprise package Nitish Kumar Reddy has shattered multiple records during his maiden Test Century for India against Australia at MCB in the fourth Test of Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Nitish Reddy has become first ever No.8 batter from India to score century against Australia in Australia. The 21-year-old reached the landmark in 171 deliveries, hitting nine fours and one six.
Nitish is now the third Indian batter, after Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal, to score a century during this Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Coming in to bat at number eight, Nitish has become the first Indian to score a century in Australia from that position. The previous highest score by an Indian batting at number eight down under was Anil Kumble’s 87 in 2008 in Adelaide.
