On March 19 in 2007 the much-loved and highly respected Bob Woolmer passed away. It has been years for him to be gone but his contribution to the World of cricket and Pakistan cricket is still remembered.
Former Pakistan pacer Rawalpindi express Shoiab Akhtar taking to YouTube channel has hailed Woolmer and has said that Woolmer went out of ways to develop careers of certain players.
“I cherish my memories of Bob Woolmer. His contribution to Pakistan cricket was amazing. We miss you Bob, you did a lot for our country and we will never forget you, “Shoaib Akhtar said.
“Bob Woolmer gave time to Yousuf, Younis, to youngsters, even to the gate-keeper and other academy staff. He went out of his way to help people and made sure he invested a lot of time in young players but sadly he did not live to see the fruits of his work, “Shoaib Akhtar said.
